Advanced Port Scanner 2.5Free
Scan a configured port range on a workstation computer connected to a network and identify closed and opened ports, check their status and manage the connections. Multi-threaded processes enable optimizing system resource usage to speed up the scanning.

Advanced Port Scanner can help you find open ports on computers connected to your network. It can also provide information about the network devices’ manufacturers and MAC addresses. Likewise, it can identify software running on those computers, like operating systems as well as HTTP and FTP servers. However, some inaccuracies were detected during testing.
The program can scan the entire network or a given IP range to find the connected devices. However, you cannot use various IP ranges or network masks simultaneously. Luckily, it is possible to manage the number of threads the program uses to find the ports. Yet, you should know that increasing detection speed needs more CPU usage. Once the scan is completed, you can perform various operations on the selected device, which include opening shared folders in Windows Explorer as well as browsing local HTTP and FTP sites. Likewise, provided you have Radmin Viewer installed on your computer, you can carry out more complex operations, such as taking control of a remote machine, sending messages, transferring files or even communicating via voice chat.
Fortunately, the program can create reports, which can be saved in XML, CSV and HTML formats. It is a pity that it cannot export them as PDF documents. In addition, the reports can be sent directly to a printer.
All in all, Advanced Port Scanner is a solution for those users who do not need to perform sophisticated operations on the network or do not have enough budget. However, you should bear in mind that there are more sophisticated tools out there, which allow performing operations on various devices and computers simultaneously.
- It performs fast multithreaded port scanning
- It allows accessing remote computers
- It can get information about network devices
- It provided easy access to the resources found
- It lets you run commands on a remote computer
- Some inaccuracies were detected during testing
- It needs another program to perform complex operations
- It cannot work with various devices simultaneously
